Perhoset is a modern and quirky comedy written by Anna Brotkin (known for the series Aikuiset). The story follows a millennial daughter, struggling under pressure to find her direction in life, and her father, who is perhaps a little too good at avoiding reality. They both rediscover each other and themselves at the Seinäjoki Tango Festival.
Tragedy and comedy seamlessly exchange places, leaving the audience unsure whether to laugh, cry, or do both at the same time. The humor, pacing, and witty remarks are reminiscent of Aikuiset, but the setting being in South Ostrobothnia.
We are showing the film with English subtitles.
We are joined by screenwriter Anna Brotkin for the 25 September 17.00 screening at Riviera Kallio. There will be a 30 min Q&A session in the end of the film, where the audience will have a chance to ask questions.
